Founded by Martin Devaney, Jimmy Whitehead our mission is to establish the premier football academy nationwide, welcoming players of all abilities, backgrounds, and upbringings. We combine academy level coaching with a passion for nurturing young talent, starting from as early as 4 years old.
Our sessions are crafted to challenge, inspire, and nurture our young talent.
Designed in-house by our Head of Coaching Mark Tinker, these academy sessions are delivered by our expert coaches. This ensures that no matter which venue you attend, you will have the same exceptional experience.
Our aim is to support players to reach their full potential and enjoy playing football in a fun, professional, environment.
At momentous football academy we can help bridge the gap between the professional football academies and local grassroots football through our extensive and varied range of weekly group sessions and 1:1 practices, holidays camps special events and goalkeeper coaching, all designed to nurture and develop young players, allowing them all to play – learn – enjoy - excel.
Our group sessions include our emerging talent pathway for all levels of player and our Talent I.D Development Centre for more advanced players.
Our Academy provides sessions for players of all abilities in a pressure free environment, aged 4-16, whether they are just starting out on their football journey or already have football experience; we can cater for all.

Vastly experienced UEFA PRO License Coach Martin Thomas Devaney (born 1 June 1980) is a football coach and former professional midfielder who is currently assistant head coach of EFL League One Barnsley. Devaney has played for the Republic Ireland at youth level and coached at all levels of Academy football.
Jimmy Whithead has extensive experience in both coaching and recruitment where he has held positions at both Sheffield United and Barnsley FC as a scout.
Jimmy is widely respected within the community as a youth developer and continues to work heavily within school boys representative teams.
As an ex semi pro footballer he has picked up good knowledge of the game through playing aspects at a very good level.
Jimmy has worked with players of all standards from grassroots to professional first team players including internationals.
UEFA A Liscence, highly experienced coach who has enhanced his coaching experience and knowledge globally through roles at, Huddersfield Town, Bradford City Leeds United and Barnsley FC Where he held the position of Youth Development Phase Lead.
Mark has gained all UEFA qualifications as well as the advanced youth award to go alongside academic achievements, to remain at the forefront of modern coaching methods and trends.
Additionally Mark spent an extensive period of time in Italy and Spain learning playing styles, philosophy and methodology at Real Madrid, Italian and Spanish F.A, Parma FC and Fiorentina academy.
Mark is a visible leader that possesses an enthusiasm and committed work ethic to enable players and coaches to fulfil their potential through mentoring and working efficiently and effectively as part of a multi-disciplined coaching team.
